What is a "Martingale" Collar?
Martingale collars are fitted to the exact size of the dog's neck when the dog collar is pulled closed. Properly fitted, the collar will be comfortably loose when not in use. When the Martingale control loop is pulled, the 2 slides (hardware on the small control loop of the Martingale collar) should pull close together but the two slides SHOULD NEVER TOUCH.
As with any collar that tightens when pulled, it is not recommend that you allow your dog to wear a Martingale dog collar unsupervised.
- Prevents dogs from easily slipping out of their collar by gently tightening so that it is unable to slip over the ears.
- Does not damage the fur and will not crush the trachea.
- Provides a gentle choke over the choke chain
How do I properly measure my dog?
Use a tape measure to measure your dog around the top of the neck directly behind the ears. Then use that number and the girth indicated below to select your collar. If your dog falls within two collar sizes, get the smaller of the two. Please note, the Premier collar has a looser fit than regular collars so that it provides a limited choke - more humane than a choke collar. If it is fit too tightly, it will be used as a choke collar.

What is a "Belly Band" and how do I measure for one?
Designed for those males who suffer from incontinence, excitable urination, and/or marking. Available in (2) stylish and reversible masculine designs with elastic along the sides and velcro closures for a perfect fit. Machine washable. We suggest using either a pantiliner (for light urinating problems) or a full sanitary pad with wings (for heavier problems). The Velcro closures are designed to be flexible enough to accommodate both types.
Standard Sizes (measure around your pets belly (including the penis) and order using size chart below always choosing the larger size if the measurement falls between two sizes (i.e., for 14 inch waist, order the medium):
- XS – 8 to 11 inches
- Small – 11 to 14 inches
- Medium – 14 to 17 inches
- Large – 17 to 20 inches
- XL – 20 to 23 inches
